Cork AI Meetup 7 - Group photo of attendees

Hosted by Peter Elger / Keelin Murphy

Cork AI hosted another successful meet up in October. This was the seventh event sponsored by fourTheorem who, as always, provided pizza and exquisite craft beer for all attendees!

This month we were delighted to welcome Vlad Constantiescu, a lead ML engineer at Getvisibility. Vlad presented an overview of learning representations from data followed by a Q&A.

Topics covered included:
  • Autoencoders
  • Variational bayes
  • Contrastive learning
  • AI & ML progression
  • Tensorflow tutorial on how to learn a 2D representation which solves MNIST to 98%.

A video of the meetup is posted on our YouTube channel HERE. Don’t forget to subscribe for more awesome Cork AI content!

The Cork AI meet-ups are non-profit events that allow our community to connect with like-minded individuals, share knowledge, and gain experience through a common interest in tech. A huge thanks to our organisers, speakers, and attendees for another successful evening. We hope to see you all at Cork AI #8!
